Did you know that a person with visual impairments can use an iPhone independently?
Yes, you have heard correctly, an iPhone with a touch pad!
Recently Pieter van Niekerk came to demonstrate his mobile phone to the students at the College of Orientation and Mobility and also gave them an opportunity to try it out.
Apparently all iPhones (and iPads) have a VoiceOver app pre-installed that, once activated, talks with the person with visual impairments and makes it possible for him/her to use the phone!
Android phones likewise have an app called TalkBack.
