GDA VISIT TO SILVERSTREAM RETIREMENT VILLAGE
Wednesday 9 May, was a sunny day in more than one way – apart from beautiful weather on the day, GDA’s puppies and Molly also brought sunshine into the lives of the Silverstream Retirement Village residents. This was our third visit this year to a Flower Foundation village, and we wish to thank the residents and Residents Association for hosting and promoting this special visit, as well as for a lovely cash donation received – just to ensure that our mission of making a difference in the lives of the differently-abled persons continues.
Puppies Wilbur, (puppy raised by Candice), Yentil (Puppy Raised by Joei), Samantha (Puppy Raised by Ian), Ursula and Ember (Puppy Raised by Joe) had loads of fun and some of them even visited the frail care facility to put some more smiles onto faces. A big thank you to our Puppy Raisers who always come to the aid of the PR team in raising more awareness about the work we do!
The usual GDA video and relevant talk was also part of the programme, and the Silverstream residents had several questions – always a good sign!
Our next Flower Foundation facility to be visited is the Willowbrook Village on the 16th of May – please watch this space for some more news after the visit.
