Leave a lasting legacy with a bequest to South African Guide-Dogs Association in your will, making a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities and children with autism.
Join our Legacy Club by letting us know that you have left a gift to us in your will. These legacies will reduce your estate duty payable to the government, and it is possible to add a codicil to your existing will that adds us to your beneficiaries. In recognition of your support, we will send you a thank you gift and annual newsletter; you will also have the option of your name being inscribed into our leather-bound Legacy Club Members Book, which is on display in our auditorium.
Thank you for your legacy.
South African Guide-Dogs Association is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (“PBO”). This means that all qualifying donations made to the Association entitle the donor to receive a Section 18A tax receipt.
The value reflected on this receipt can be claimed by the donor as a deduction from their taxable income in the tax year the donation was made.
This receipt is automatically generated for every qualifying donation, immediately after the donation is processed into our system.
Amendments to the Regulations regarding the issue of these tax receipts require that with effect from 1 March 2023 the following additional information must be included on a Section 18A Tax Receipt issued in terms of section 18A(2)(a) of the Income Tax Act :-
Because of these new regulations, we will be contacting our current donors over the course of the next few months in order to update their donor profiles with the required information.
If you have any questions, please contact us at info@guidedog.org.za
If you are a potential new donor and you would like to receive a Section 18A tax Receipt, please send us all of this information at the time of making the donation.
Please note that if we do not receive this information from the donor, we will be unable to issue the Section 18A receipt.
South African Guide-Dogs Association complies with the POPI Act. All information given will be treated with complete confidentiality.
