Quick Donation
Thank you for choosing to donate to South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind. We truly appreciate your contribution.
South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind is registered with SARS as a Public Benefit Organisation (“PBO”). This means that all qualifying donations made to the Association entitle the donor to receive a Section 18A tax receipt.
The value reflected on this receipt can be claimed by the donor as a deduction from their taxable income in the tax year the donation was made.
This receipt is automatically generated for every qualifying donation, immediately after the donation is processed into our system.
Amendments to the Regulations regarding the issue of these tax receipts require that with effect from 1 March 2023 the following additional information must be included on a Section 18A Tax Receipt issued in terms of section 18A(2)(a) of the Income Tax Act :-
- Type of Donor (natural person, company, trust, etc.);
- Identification or registration number of the donor;
- Tax reference number of the donor (if available);
- Contact number of the donor
- E-mail address of the donor
- Trading name of the donor (if different from the registered name).
Because of these new regulations, we will be contacting our current donors over the course of the next few months in order to update their donor profiles with the required information.
Alternatively, donors are welcome to contact us with this information.
If you are a potential new donor and you would like to receive a Section 18A tax Receipt, please send us all of this information at the time of making the donation.
Please note that if we do not receive this information from the donor, we will be unable to issue the Section 18A receipt.
SA Guide Dogs Association complies with the POPI Act. All information given will be treated with complete confidentiality.
