Shades Day 2026

Why Shades Day?

Shades Day is more than a day to wear your favourite pair of sunglasses, it’s a chance to make a difference for people living with visual impairment.

Every day, the South African Guide-Dogs Association helps people with visual impairments experience greater independence, confidence and freedom through guide dogs, orientation and mobility training, assistive devices and other life-changing services.

By taking part in Shades Day, you’re helping us continue this vital work. Your R20 donation can help provide the training, care and support that gives someone the confidence to navigate the world more independently.

So grab your shades, get involved and help us shine a light on independence.

Buy a R20 Sticker. Wear your shades. Make a difference. Change a life.
